Scientific Research and Business Projects of Smolensk Institute of Business and Entrepreneurship

1. Developing business plans to reorganize and revitalize ailing corporations and evaluate results. We have developed business plans for more than ten corporations in Smolensk to analyze, diagnose, and develop a plan of practical recommendations to help aging corporations improve and adapt to new business conditions.
2. We have helped to restructure more than ten industrial enterprises in Smolesnk. We have helped them to develop and implement new methods of strategic planning. In 1998 we hosted an All-Russia seminar dealing with the problem of restructuring industrial enterprises. 
3. We research and develop new technologies and methods of strategic planning. We have developed about twenty strategic plans for Smolesnk companies.
4. We have developed a program to support small businesses in a practical way.
5. We have developed a strategy to improve the ability of businesses to compete in today’s market.
6. We have published over 90 scientific works, we have developed 40 business projects for Smolensk enterprises, and we have published three journals of scientific research.

Faculty of Continuing Education in Marketing, Financial Management, Strategic Management of Enterprises, Book Keeping and Auditing, Applied Computer Technology in Economics and Marketing, Management of Work Place Safety. We also have special programs of property evaluation and Crisis Prevention. We offer both Higher Education programs and programs for self improvement. We have had over 3,000 students.
